Tainted Illusion

Are you the one?
The loved novel portray
A perfect demigod among men
Only the chosen get a glimpse of you

But you chose me
A broken tainted illusion
Perhaps you didn’t know
A broken heart is dangerous than a wounded lion

Your smile is a mask
Beneath it is your shambles
Too ugly to behold
I am your perfect reflection

  1. The below lines could stand alone.
    “Your smile is a mask
    Beneath it is your shambles
    Too ugly to behold
    I am your perfect reflection”
The honest tone of the words, I liked. Thank you for sharing your amazing poetry.
